Welcome to our new blogspot! I hope you will find it helpful in keeping up with homework assignments, test dates, upcoming events, and the latest happenings. Blogging is new for me, so be patient as I learn how to manipulate the site and develop better ways to keep you informed. This is also a spot where you will be able to let me know your thoughts.

Spelling - Students have the last page in their spelling packet to complete and any words missed on today's pretest needs to be written off 10 times each. Test tomorrow morning before we leave.
Thanks to all parents who attended our Valentine Party to help out and those that sent goodies for the class. Thank you all for being sooooo good to our children. They had a great time and what a beautiful day to enjoy outside this afternoon.
Tomorrow we will be going to the IMax theater in Chattanooga. It should be a great trip. We plan to leave at 9:30 and should be there sometime around 10:15. After the show, if weather permits, we will go to the park for lunch and a bit of play time before coming back to Dug Gap by 2:00.
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Winter Break . Enjoy time with your family.

Homework Assignments
Parents,
Please note that homework will be assigned in spelling, math, or reading on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights.
Spelling packets will be sent home on Monday with that nights homework on the back of the pretest given that day. Words missed on the pretest are asked to be written off 5 times each. Tuesday's spelling homework is the next page and the last page of the packet is for Thursday nights work. Words missed on Thursday's pretest are also asked to be written off 10 times each before Friday's test.Math - Multiplication Practice Sheet - both sides need to be completed.
Students also need to complete the "multiplication by 7's" paper.
Reading - Students need to complete the back side of their vocabulary paper titled, "Author's Purpose."
